Will Someone Answer That Phone?

Ringtones have become one of modern lifes necessary evils, something that we accept the value of while secretly cursing forever. No matter where you go during the course of your busy day, a cell phone is waiting to ring, warning its owner of an incoming call with one or another of those grating tunes that you are simply sick of hearing. Have they coined the term ringtone stress yet?
They really should have. In times that perhaps seem more idealistic to us now, telephones were limited to offices and homes, personal or corporate spaces you entered prepared for the possibility of the variety of human engagement that occurs over telephone wires. But these days, the mobility of cell phones means that they invade almost every aspect of our lives, and they are no respecter of our boundaries. They ring no matter where we are, whether its on the bus or in the bathroom, demanding to be answered.
But for many people, its not the constant availability that upsets. Rather, its the actual ringtone that grates upon the nerves. This is most particularly true when the ringtone belongs to someone else, and especially when that someone cant seem to find his or her phone, or doesnt appear inclined to answer it. Commuting has been known to increase stress levels enormously, and its not just because of traffic anymore. Sometimes you think that if you have to listen to that annoying tune one second longer, you will most certainly crack. Or maybe youll crack the darn phone.
Perhaps the most irritating ringtone is the undecided one. This is where the user of the phone handset cant seem to decide which ringtone it is they prefer, and decide to work it out in public. If a single ringtone has the power to raise blood pressure, just think what ten played is quick succession can do for your health. The undecided ringtone user should be placed on the list of healths greatest foes. It must be worse for you than saturated fat.
But really, wed be lost without our ringtones, and if a little irritability is the price we have to pay to have a range of tunes with which to identify our calls, then so be it. Without our ringtones, millions of calls could go unanswered every day, and who knows what wed miss then? Just remember, it might be your favorite tune, but its not necessarily everyone elses. Use your ringtone responsibly and help society stay as stress-free as possible!

New Mobile Security App for Android Smartphones!

Some smartphone consumers don't understand they're carrying around the functions of a computer, and most users are unaware that smartphones are susceptible to the same security threats that plague laptops and desktops.

As more online retailers introduce mobile e-commerce applications, criminal hackers are taking notice. Existing mobile operating systems are under attack and, like standard PC operating systems, they sometimes fail to provide the necessary security to support a payment application.

Malicious software (malware) can invade a device when consumers click a malicious link in a text message or email, and surf a risky website or download a potentially unsafe app. Once the device is infected, malware allows the collection of data from the device such as a location information, financial information, and login credentials.

Verizon Wireless has always protected devices on its network using sophisticated network intrusion and data analysis tools. Now they will extend their network security to customers with the introduction of Verizon Mobile Security, an application that helps secure and protect Android smartphones against digital and physical threats.

The new offering covers concerns such as device infection, misplacement or loss, reaffirming Verizon Wireless’ commitment to protect its customers, devices and network by providing resources with robust security capabilities. Representing the next level of protection, Verizon Mobile Security, co-developed by Asurion  and McAfee, is available on Android smartphones running Android 2.1 or higher.

To help protect yourself, I also recommend:

Refrain from clicking links in text messages, emails, especially if they are from someone you don’t know. Set your smartphone to lock automatically and unlock only when you enter a PIN. Keep your phone’s operating system updated with the latest patches. Invest in mobile security protection, which includes antivirus  Health Fitness Articles, for your smartphone

The Smartphones Today!

The smartphones available today is almost as capable as the laptops that were used by you a decade ago. Smartphones have an amazing capability of storing data, but, still, people still rate smartphones as a common cell phone and do not take proper security measures that lead them towards data breach.

Smartphones these days offer a wide variety of features; these features make the present cell phones as good and competent as the laptops were about a decade ago. These mobile devices has boosted the performance and the productivity, but, where there is convenience, there should be also drawbacks. The drawback with the smartphone technology is the never ending threat to data security. The companies ought to be very well aware of the risks that these smart devices bring along with the handiness and should be ready for the possible dangers.

A part of our problem is that we still underestimate the mobile phone technology and treat it as an orthodox cell phone. These smartphones have some amazing capability of storage, the user usually seems to be indifferent from saved data and do not take effective measure to get it secured. As the devices get more and more portable, the probability of getting it lost or stolen also arises. There were more than 20,000 cell phones lost in just six months in Chicago solely. In the majority of lost or stolen cell phones, a very small number of phones have enough security measures to prevent data leakage.

Another source of data leakage is the malware attack. The malware attacks on smartphones to steal data are not as common as it is for the computer, but, the trend is increasing. According to McAfee Avert Labs in Santa Clara, there have been 400,000 malware attacks on the computer till now, whereas, there have been just 450 malware attacks on the smartphones. Out of these 450 attacks, there were few attacks which were unintentional or accidental. So, malware is not a big threat for the data security of a Smartphone, but, it can get bigger in the near future.

Different smartphones use different Operating Systems. Such as Apple’ iPhone uses iOS, Google’s Android Operating System is used by the majority of the smartphones around the world and Windows Phone OS is mainly used by Nokia and in some of the smartphones of the other companies.

These three companies are fighting to rule the world of OS, at the moment Android is the champion among the three. Windows Phone is the least used OS, yet it is the most stable one. The proof of that stability is that only 0.3 percent of the malware attacks get successful against Windows Phone Operating System. On the other hand, 0.7 percent and 80 percent of the attacks against iOS and Android get successful respectively.

To make the numbers of successful attacks against Windows Phone Operating System even lesser. In article search attacks, you can use Folder Lock for Windows Phone. Smartphones are extremely useful and are here to stay; they have a long bright future ahead. It is the responsibility of the users to make it secure and duty of the smartphones’ manufacturers to drive the technology to groom it more and make it near to perfect. There is rapid progress in the field of smartphone technology and fair hope that this technology will become near to perfect one day with almost no or any drawbacks.
